How to Furnish an Italian Living Room
Start with seating. First, choose the sofa or sectional sofa, because it sets the scale of the room. As a rule, it should cover about two thirds of the main wall. Then, add one or two armchairs facing it, so conversation flows naturally.
Add the tables. Next, place a coffee table about 18 inches (45 cm) from the sofa. In addition, side tables beside each seat give a home to lamps, books and drinks.
Plan storage and media. A TV cabinet keeps devices and cables out of sight, while a console table behind the sofa or in the entry adds a surface for lamps and objects.
Finish with comfort. Finally, poufs and ottomans add flexible seating, and a chaise longue by the window creates a reading corner. To complete the look, add lighting and decor from our collection.
