How to Furnish an Italian Dining Room
Start with the table. First, choose the dining table, because it sets the size of the room. As a rule, allow 24 inches (60 cm) per guest and 36 inches (90 cm) of space around it.
Choose the chairs. Next, select dining chairs that fit under the table and match its height. In addition, chairs with arms at each end give the table a sense of occasion.
Add storage. A sideboard keeps china and linen close, while a tall display cabinet shows glassware. For entertaining, a bar cabinet brings everything together.
Extend to the kitchen. Finally, bar stools carry the same style to the kitchen island. To finish the room, add a chandelier above the table and mirrors on the walls.
