Residence in Old Palm

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLORIDA

When the homeowners at Old Palm built their 6,700 sq ft estate in Palm Beach Gardens, they asked Sophia Passerini for serene interiors that could also welcome friends and family. This Old Palm interior design project answers both needs. Our Palm Beach interior design studio planned every room, from materials and lighting to furniture and final styling.

British West Indies Style, Made Timeless

The architecture follows the British West Indies tradition. Inside, however, we gave it a softer, transitional character. Warm ivory, sand and natural wood run through the house, while dark accents add depth. As a result, the home feels relaxed and refined at the same time.

An Old Palm Estate Made for Entertaining

The great room is the heart of the house. Curved ivory sofas surround a sculptural wood coffee table, under a row of paper lantern pendants. Behind them, a bar clad in book-matched marble glows with backlit shelving. Next door, the game room pairs a sculptural billiard table with a linear fireplace and walls of glass that open onto the garden.

Calm, Coastal Private Rooms

In the private rooms, the mood becomes calmer. The primary bedroom has a sheer canopy bed, a paneled headboard wall and a sitting area by the windows. In addition, the primary bath combines a soaking tub, a pebble-mosaic shower and softly textured walls. Meanwhile, the guest bedrooms take their colors from the coast, with teal, coral, rattan and surfboard art.

Finally, every detail of this Old Palm interior design project was chosen to make the home both beautiful and easy to live in. See more of our work in the portfolio, or contact our studio to plan your own home.
